The Meaning of Hitler is the latest documentary by Petra Epperlein and Michael Tucker (Gunner Palace, Karl Marx City). The film aims to dissect and unearth more about the behemoth Nazi with the cartoon mustache, demonically possessed growling voice, and flapping hands.

It is always fresh with Hitler! We will always be seeking more information. So weird, how much of a failure and utter emotional weakling he was, yet powerful enough to nearly annihilate an entire culture while destroying and robbing the world of whatever he could with the help of so many.

Referencing the 1978 Sebastian Haffner book, the author breaks down social, historical, political, economic, and genocidal facts of the national socialist, walking, talking insane asylum called the Fuhrer to his followers and monster to his victims. The search for the enigmatic “WHY?” Hitler is an endless walk, yet Epperlein and Tucker seem to uncover more facts, aiding us in our understanding the ghostly specter in the empty uniform and his followers. Their movie poster says so much! Anyone can fit an empty suit given all the right ingredients.

Reflecting on history, they begin and end with the whining voice of the ever-popular, racist reality television star Trump, who became the unlikely president of the United States and hero to his “Jews will not replace us” fans. Leading the charge, twisting the minds of many, marketing to…
